It’s simpler to solve for wetness that comes from the outside (rain) – simply wear a waterproof jacket. When wetness comes from the inside (sweat), things get tricky. That’s what we’re here to solve with VerticalX ECO SR. This technology has vertically-oriented fibres to speed up moisture transport from the body by reducing the friction the moisture faces as it escapes. Simply put: it keeps you warm while you're sweating.
VerticalX ECO SR Insulation
VerticalX ECO SR technology gives you dependable warmth in any weather and for any activity level. It’s like Goldilocks: Just the right amount of warmth, breathability, and “bounce back” high loft you want for extended adventures outside.
VerticalX ECO SR is a Synthetic Insulation consisting of 55% Repreve® Recycled Polyester, 35% Sorona®, 10% Polyester Insulation 45 G/M2.
This high-loft synthetic insulation uses 90% recycled content, combining a superior warmth-to-weight ratio with breathability and moisture management.

What is Repreve®?

Collection & Sorting: Recycled, post-consumer plastic bottles are collected, thoroughly cleaned, and sorted to begin the transformation process
Flake Production: The bottles are shredded into bottle flake, which are cleaned and prepared for further processing.
Resin Creation: The flake is melted and converted into high-quality polyester resin. At this stage, our proprietary FiberPrint® tracer is embedded to ensure traceability. This resin can be used directly in applications like packaging and nonwovens.
Fibre Spinning: The resin is then extruded and spun into REPREVE fibre and yarn — ready to be used in fabrics for apparel, footwear, home furnishings, and more.

The winner will win an Outdoor Research Vesper Insulated Jacket or a Vesper Insulated Hoodie in their chosen style and colour (subject to availability).
The competition starts on 1st October 2025 and ends on 3rd November 2025. All entrants between these dates will be entered into the draw. The winner will be drawn on 4th November 2025, and the winner will be notified via email. If you don't get an email from us, unfortunately, you have not been successful on this occasion.
Every correct entry submitted between the competition dates will have their email address entered into the draw. The draw uses a random number generator and will be completely fair, with each email address having the same chance to win as any other. Only one entry per person will be accepted. No dialogue will be entered about the administration of the competition/draw.
