The fabric being 100% recycled polyester isn't the softest base layer I've ever worn, but it definitely has the most stretch. I found it very comfortable nonetheless. The high wicking, good breathability & fast drying qualities make this ideal for intense activities or a great layering piece for cooler conditions. Another great feature of the fabric, especially with prolonged wear, is the Polygiene odour control. Together, working with all other properties of the fabric, makes the  Dart Zip Neck a go-to piece for all outdoor activities. The use of green, synthetic materials was the initial feature that stood out to me; I have found myself looking for more sustainable products when searching for new kit.

I'm in between sizes, so went up a size. I'm glad I did as the collar is quite tight - I had to unzip it a couple of times during a long hike for comfort. The fit is generous around the arms & shoulders, ideal for comfort, together with the stretchy fabric & no shoulder seams, it allows full movement with no restriction. I did however find the sleeves slightly short - they rode up when I stretched. The sleeves can be comfortably rolled up too.
