Biggie Tarp protects you and your gear from rain, wind and sun. It’s lighter than usual tarps by multiple times. There are a lot of setup options from usual the A-Frame pitch to pyramid fly. Small packed size and volume.
Seams of the shelter are non-sealed. For sealing the seams we recommend sealant based on silicone.
Our Verdict
The Liteway Biggie Tarp is an ideal ultralight shelter for backpackers and hikers aiming to cut weight without compromising weather protection. Weighing 423 grams, this 3x3m tarp is compact yet spacious, offering plenty of coverage for one or two campers or as a communal hub. The tarp’s 20D Silpoly construction balances durability with weight savings—though, as with many ultralight tarps, it arrives with unsealed seams, so a silicone sealant is recommended for full waterproofing.
Equipped with eight reinforced tie-out points and line locks, it allows various setups, from A-frame to low shelter configurations. Reflective guy lines are included but unattached, while stakes are not provided, letting you pair the tarp with your preferred stake choice. For a fully enclosed, double-wall setup, the Biggie Tarp can be paired with the Biggie Mesh 2P inner, creating a spacious shelter with added insect protection.
