A small luxury for ultralight packs, this stool adds comfort without the bulk of a full chair.
Big Agnes says:
Ultralight, packable backpacking stool
For minimalist packers who want to roll extra light, the Skyline UL Stool offers a comfy alternative to sitting in the dirt. It's quick and simple to set up, and easily fits into your pack.
Our Verdict
The updated Big Agnes Skyline UL Stool is a well-balanced kit for those who want proper off-the-ground seating At 556g, it’s lighter than many rivals but still not ultralight. It packs down to 30 cm long, easily fitting in a side pocket. The aircraft-grade aluminium frame and Robic nylon seat feel solid, and the shock-corded poles make assembly quick and intuitive. The self-levelling design is a clever touch—helpful when pitching on uneven terrain. The stool is 38 cm high and easier to get in and out of than the ultralow, ultralight chairs on the market.
