Rab's Argon Pants are midi-channel, stitch-through, down filled pants. Ideal for using around camp, in a bivi system or to boost the warmth in your sleeping bag.

The Argon Pants are filled with the highest quality 800FP RDS Certified European Goose Down. Designed to be worn over a baselayer, the Argon offers extra comfort and warmth around basecamp, in a bivi or to increase your sleeping bag's performance.
They pack down nice and small, and makes it a no brainer to carry them with you on your expedition, providing you with a boost of warmth when you need it most.
Technical features include a tough and durable Pertex® Microlight outer, stitch through construction to eliminate cold spots and a 2-way front fly zipper.
Our Verdict
The warmth to weight ratio for Rab's Argon Down Pants are really good. They may be a little heavier than Western Mountaineering's Down pants but that is because they pack 160 grams (size large) of 800 fill power down into one pair of pants. Plus the down in Hydrophobic so will still do it's job, even when wet. Pertex Microlight outer shell fabric is utilized for the rest of the garment, allowing it to shrug off light showers and snow.
In terms of features its pretty simple with an elasticated stretch hem, a 2-way front fly zip and a removable waistband (remove for sleeping and to save weight). No pockets, but if your just using them in a sleeping bag they're not really needed. One small pocket might have been handy for those wearing them around camp, but that would mean it would have added a little extra weight.
