Our Verdict
At 2,569 g, the Gregory Alpaca Wheeled Duffel 40L is sized for carry-on use but built to withstand knocks. The TPU-coated 900D fabric and polycarbonate base provide strong resistance to abrasion. At the same time, the smooth-rolling wheels and telescoping aluminium handle make it straightforward to manoeuvre through airports or train stations. A large U-shaped opening makes packing simple, with mesh pockets and a compression panel helping to keep kit organised and secure in transit.
Reinforced grab handles add flexibility when lifting, and details such as the daisy chain loops make it more versatile than many competitors.
