Our Verdict
A lot of backpackers look at pillows as luxury items and leave them behind because they are too heavy or bulky. The Sea to Summit Aeros Premium Pillow is definitely a luxury item because it gives its users serious comfort and support, but it is lightweight and compresses to the size of a lemon!
Its 16g heavier heavier than its Ultralight cousin with a slightly bigger pack size but has a much softer plusher exterior. It has a high strength thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) bladder which has a brushed, 50-denier polyester stretch-knit outer surface that is very soft and durable. The synthetic fill between the pillow case and the bladder increases comfort and wicks away perspiration.
The curved internal baffles create contours that cradle your head while the scalloped bottom edge centers the pillow around your shoulders, whether you are sleeping on your back, side or upright in a chair. The pillow is easy to inflate and can be done in just a couple of breathes thanks to the multifunctional valve. Another feature is the Pillow Lock system which means it can be attached to any Sea to Summit sleeping mat.
You'd never expect such a lightweight pillow to provide such luxurious comfort!
