Our Verdict
The Bollé Adventurer sunglasses with SOLACE4 Brown Gun lenses are purpose-built for high-altitude adventurers who need maximum UV protection and optical clarity. Designed with a classic mountaineering look, these glasses offer Category 4 lens protection, which blocks 94.5% of visible light, making them ideal for bright conditions in snow-covered or exposed mountain areas. The SOLACE4 lens’ brown tint effectively reduces blue light glare, enhancing contrast and visibility at high altitudes, while the reflective silver mirror layer provides added protection in intense sunlight.
Comfort is a priority, and Thermogrip rubber on both the temples and the adjustable three-position nosepiece ensures a secure fit even during strenuous activity or in wet conditions. The removable side shields provide additional protection from peripheral light, and the lenses are durable yet relatively lightweight at 50 grams.

- Eco Design: At Bollé, we don't claim we are going to save the planet, but we do strive to reduce our impact. From SS23 onwards, all our new models are eco-designed with more than 20% recycled or bio-based materials (percentage in weight). For instance, we use renewable castor oil for our frames and our Thermogrip® rubber. Our Volt and SLF photochromic lenses are made from 60% bio-based PC, an our SLF+ lenses are 60% recycled.
