They have a technical cut with pre-shaped knees, which in combination with the stretch fabric gives well-fitting trousers that let you comfortably take full-length strides. Long ventilation zippers from the hips to the knees release excess heat. There are two hand pockets as well as spacious leg pockets with zippers for a map or the like. The leg endings have strap adjustments and boothooks that prevent them from riding up. Reinforcements at the leg endings and on the inside of the calves make them extra resistant to wear.

Our Verdict
Clothing in the Abisko family is designed for lightweight trekking. The garments are characterised by low weight, fast drying and good ventilation - perfect for when you want to move around easily, either in the summer mountains or in warmer climates.
The Fjällräven Abisko Lite Trekking Trousers are made from four-way stretch and G-1000 Lite fabric for optimized mobility and durability. There's also G-1000 reinforcement fabric at leg endings and G-1000 HeavyDuty on the inside of the lower legs for extra resistance against abrasion from hiking boots. The G-1000 Lite fabric is classed as the lightweight, cool version of the Original G-1000 making it an excellent choice for both travelling and general outdoor use. The dense weave is made from polyester, cotton and is impregnated with Greenland Wax. This combination makes these trousers extremely durable, very well ventilated and also wind and water resistant. It also provides almost 100% protection against the sun's ultraviolet rays, helping to greatly reduce the risk of sunburn so you can discover the great outdoors without limitations.
The venting options on these trousers are quite unique, with two long side zips that go from your hip to your knee, that open up fully to release excess heat. Although you don't have a rear pocket there's still plenty of storage options with two open hand pockets and two large zip thigh pockets. There's strap adjustments on the bottom of the legs to give you the best fit and small hidden hooks for attaching to your boots.
As with all Fjällräven products, attention to detail has been given to every aspect of the garment, even the button closure is nicely engraved with the Fjällräven Arctic Fox logo.
