Versatile trekking shorts steeped in Fjällräven DNA. Abisko Hybrid Trail Shorts for men are made from G-1000 Lite Stretch on the front and full stretch recycled polyamide/elastane fabric on the back. The front can be waxed for enhanced weather resistance where it is most needed while the back is highly ventilating and gives excellent freedom of movement. The elasticated waist with regular fly opening further enhances comfort and fit. Two open hand pockets and two buttoned leg pockets, one with a zipper.
Our Verdict
Fjällräven inspires confidence straight out of the bag, and the Abisko Hybrid Trail Trousers are no exception. They feel robust yet responsive at 384g in medium thanks to a clever blend of G-1000 Lite Stretch up front and a softer, highly flexible recycled fabric across the rear. This mix strikes the right balance—protection where you want it, airflow and movement where you need it. The fit is athletic without being tight, and the elasticated waistband holds comfortably without shifting. I liked the option to wax the front for added weather resistance, and the overall ventilation is excellent. Storage is sorted with two open hand pockets and dual leg pockets—one with a zip—and they're all placed to avoid interference when you're in motion.
