Our Verdict
Most of the time the smaller baskets supplied with most trekking poles are fine. However if you are traversing a boulder field (for example) the small baskets allow the poles to slip through gaps between the rocks and poles can get stuck. Using larger baskets such as these Fizan 95mm ones alleviates this.
