Our Verdict
As the name suggests, these gloves do an outstanding job of blocking the wind; they are well-constructed from good-quality materials and are an excellent fit. They are not the warmest gloves, but you could get a thin insulating glove underneath or a mitt over the top if you are going to use this in very cold conditions.
They are very dextrous, and the goat leather palm gripped my tracking poles well; I did a good deal of scrambling with them on, and they have held up well.
If you are navigating with a phone, the touch screen functions would be adequate, but texting would be frustrating as they are not very accurate.
