Our Verdict
Montane's Ineo Lite Shorts are a lightweight and breathable option for active trails when you want freedom of movement and are prioritising breathability. The 4-way stretch Mala Lissom nylon fabric provides excellent mobility thanks to the gusseted design and deep waistband.
Despite their minimalist weight starting around 125g (size 12), the Ineo Lites include some well-considered performance features. The integrated Polygiene odour control treatment helps these shorts stay fresher for longer between washes - a nice perk for multi-day adventures. Flat-locked seams prevent chafing from the get-go.
The 15cm inseam keeps them from being excessively short or long. The trim fit allows ample ventilation and is not restrictive during activities like scrambling or hiking.
