A huge versatile tarp that you can put up in numerous ways to create a great area for groups to shelter under or palatial solo space. This SI version is lightweight, strong and ideal for multiday use.

An extra shelter without adding extra weight. Voss SI protects against the elements adding almost no extra weight and stuff to your backpack. Voss SI offers high durability, low weight, small pack size and flexible use as it comes in three different sizes covering 9, 14 and 20 m2. The small and the large version are both almost square whereas the 14 m2 version is more rectangular in shape offering numerous options for use in almost any situation depending on location and weather. Use it for instance separately either as an alternative to a tent or to add extra protected space to your camp – or use it to extend the dry area of your tent, depending on the shape and size.
Our Verdict
The Voss SI Tarp from Nordisk is a top quality tarp that's amazingly versatile for shelter. There are a multitude of points to peg, pole of guy so you can get the best coverage for the conditions. There are 10 guy lines pre-attached which is awesome for straight out the bag use. The storage bag has 11 ideas drawn on for different way to pitch the tarp and this helps with understanding just how versatile it is. The main points are really well reinforced and have pockets for poles to sit in making it much easier to put up quickly or in challenging conditions.
The Voss 14 gets it's name from the large 14m2 area it covers and it has certainly been big enough for small group outings as a communal area, shelter from the sun and rain, along with it making a great usable space when in a bivy. This is the SI version which means that it is nylon treated with silicone on both sides. This means that it is much lighter and stronger but it is a lot more expensive than the PU treated version.
