Our Verdict
The Ultra Lightweight Ridge Hat focuses on airflow and low weight, weighing just 35g. The recycled polyester ripstop fabric is perforated across the crown and sides, allowing heat to escape quickly. The result is a cap that feels cool and breathable when working hard on warm days.
The foam brim folds easily so the hat can be packed into a pocket, then returns to shape when worn again. A low-profile sweatband manages moisture effectively and dries quickly once damp.
The elastic rear adjustment provides a secure fit with enough stretch for all-day comfort, although it is less precise than buckle systems. Overall, the design prioritises ventilation and packability, making it well-suited to high-output hiking and running.
