Our Verdict
The 60-litre Transporter Gear Tote isn’t a flashy bit of kit, but it’s quickly become one of my most practical. It holds its shape even when half full, thanks to a semi-rigid frame and the removable mat doubling as base support or lid. The shoe changing mat is a thoughtful touch—ideal for changing out of muddy boots or even stripping straight out of a wetsuit without stepping out of the bag.
The recycled NanoTough fabric shrugs off abrasion, and the DWR treatment stood up to several soggy loading sessions without soaking through. Lash points are ample, and the front pocket’s huge, and it keeps valuable items or items you want close at hand more conveniently.
The dual carry handles are comfortable even when fully loaded, and unlike more shapeless totes, this one behaves predictably in the boot or on the ground. It’s built with hauling in mind, not hiking, but for gear organisation around camp or between home and trailhead, it earns its keep.
