Our Verdict
Osprey's Talon 6 Litre Waist Pack is a versatile piece of kit. Whether you're heading out for a trail run in changeable conditions and want to pack a wind- or waterproof shell, you're taking a bit of extra food or liquid or you want some storage space and easy access for shorter day hikes or just walking the dog, this waist belt is a great option. Weighing in at just under 400g it certainly isn't the lightest weight but it does provide 6L of space for you to pack a range of kit in.
The level of padding on the hip belts along with the use of AirScape breathable mesh across the back make this a comfortable pack to wear for extended periods no matter what the conditions are like. There are a number of practical features included in the pack such as the hidden bungee cords an each side, hip belt pockets, two good sized secure zip pockets, compression straps and excellent belt buckle and adjusters.
