Our Verdict
The Petzl Swift LT balances a very minimalist build with output for a lamp of this size. At 43g, it sits lightly on the head, yet the 380-lumen setting provides clear visibility. The beam is wide and even, and the headband holds its position without needing frequent adjustment.
I appreciate how simple it is to recharge. You just plug it in without removing the battery, which keeps faff to a minimum. The trade-off is that you cannot carry a spare battery to swap in, so planning your lighting levels matters on longer days.
The controls are easy to use, and the red mode is great for checking a map and for small camp tasks without worrying about blinding your campmates. The compact size makes it a practical choice when you want effective lighting without a bulky setup. It is very easy for me to recommend.
