Our Verdict
The Montbell Super Dry-Tec Sleeping Bag Cover uses a 2-layer fabric with a 12-denier nylon ripstop shell, weighing 191 g. It feels well-made and sits comfortably over a standard down or synthetic bag, thanks to the bias-cut fabric with a slight stretch that helps avoid tight spots. The material is highly waterproof and impressively breathable for a full-coverage design, effectively shielding the bag from condensation inside a tent or bivy. Moisture build-up is minimal, and the drawcord hood helps seal out draughts. Durability is suitable for such a lightweight fabric when used with a mat or groundsheet.
