The perfect super lightweight and extremely breathable windshirt, now with an even lighter construction. The PointZero fabric is windproof and has a DWR (Durable Water Repellancy treatment), improving its weather protection and stain resistance. The PointZero fabric has an incredibly low pack size and so folds up into its own collar. The Sonic Jacket is the full length zipped version of the Sonic series. A superlight, breathable & ultra packable wind jacket.
Our Verdict
OMM's Sonic Jacket gives you a great layer that works for any outing where space or weight are important. The fabric is super thin and lightweight but still surprisingly durable. It isn't an insulating piece and provides little warmth but the point is to protect you from the wind which it does perfectly.
The design benefits from not having a hood which spends more time flapping in the wind than providing protection when you're working hard in the hills anyway. The collar acts as the stuff pocket for this top so it packs down to an amazingly small size which fits easily in any pocket.
