The Montane Prism Mitts are super compressible which gives them a very small packsize. The Primaloft Gold insulation is very warm, this is coupled with a microfleece lining that adds to the insulation value and deals with any sweat from your hands. Finished off nicely with Pertex outer fabric that is windproof and water resistant.

Our Verdict
With Primaloft Gold insulation, you know you're getting good quality warmth in a lightweight package. Primaloft is considered to have the best warmth to weight ratio of any synthetic fibre. This has been coupled with soft a microfleece lining that adds to the insulation value without adding much weight and deals with any sweat from your hands. It's finished off nicely with Pertex outer fabric which is a lightweight, windproof and water resistant shell fabric.
It is worth noting that the fit is a little small so it is advisable to go one size up.
Montane have managed the weight down (only 56g per medium pair), while adding useful features like a touch screen compatible thumb and elasticated wrists. The mitts stuff into the supplied stuff sack which is just a bit smaller than an apple so will go unnoticed in your pocket or pack.
