Wechsel's Pipe Pegs, and pipe pegs in general are amazing, immensely strong they can literally be hammered into the ground. It's always advisable to take a range of pegs on a long trek - four of these can cover you for really hard ground.

Our Verdict
Wechsel's Pipe Pegs, and pipe pegs in general are amazing, immensely strong they can literally be hammered into the ground. At 14g per peg they are moderately heavier than some pegs especially when you multiply the extra weight over a number of them, so we would recommend perhaps having 4 of these in your peg bag, that way if you find yourself camping on hard ground you can grab a rock and use these as your main anchor points.
Also they have a good positive head to retain the guy line.
