The Mountain Equipment Particle Hooded Insulated Jacket is a versatile and lightweight mid-layer, perfect for cold-weather activities where warmth and mobility are essential.
Filled with 100% recycled POLARLOFT Featherless insulation, this jacket provides the warmth and compressibility of down with the durability of synthetic fill. Stretch fleece panels under the arms and sides enhance breathability and allow unrestricted movement. The lightweight, windproof 20-denier recycled fabric is treated with a PFC-free DWR finish, providing eco-conscious weather resistance.
Weighing 383g (size M), the Particle is easily packable and stows neatly into its pocket, complete with karabiner loops for attachment to a harness or pack. The elastane-bound hood offers extra protection, while two hand pockets and elasticated cuffs and hem add practicality. However, the lower placement of the pockets may conflict with a hip belt, and the non-adjustable hood can be less effective in strong winds.
Ideal as a warm alternative to a fleece or as part of a layering system, the Particle Hooded Insulated Jacket balances warmth, sustainability, and versatility.
