Our Verdict
Petzl's Meteor helmet is a classic work horse that offers extra comfort for a little more weight. Not as vented as the lighter options the Meteor still has a comfortable fit with plenty of vents built around the outer Polycarbonate shell which offers superior side protection. The low profile straps are the same as the Sirocco but with a more rigid adjuster at the back. It still contains the standard headtorch clips and could be used for climbing/mountaineering at any time of year. The extra space on the rear of the headband for a ponytail is a nice feature too.
