By popular request, Expedition Foods has introduced a new mashed potato dish to nourish our outdoor customers while bikepacking, hiking or climbing anywhere in the world. Our Mashed Potato with Cheese and Chives is just what you remember as your favourite dish growing up. Eat alone or as a supplement to a meal, this dish won't leave you hungry.

Preparation: REMOVE THE OXYGEN ABSORBER* (Sachet) from inside the pouch. Slowly add hot water, stirring as you pour and then close the bag. Wait 5 minutes for the food to rehydrate. Cold water will suffice, however the re-hydration time is much longer.

* The oxygen absorber helps maintain product freshness and is non toxic. DO NOT EAT.

Our Verdict

Expedition Foods offers a good variety of main meals and desserts and a choice of serving sizes with their Regular Serving (450 kcal), High Energy Serving (800+ kcal) and Extreme Energy or Double Serving for Two (1000 kcal) ranges.

Expedition Foods provides the perfect meal for everyone from extreme athletes to campers and hikers – in fact, anyone who desires great-tasting food on the go.

STAFF'S TASTE TEST - We liked this meal; it hydrated well, and the cheese and chive flavour was constant throughout the dish. The consistency was nice and creamy, and it hydrated well.  However, the meal could get a little dull if this is all you have, and we believe it works best as a side dish to bolster another meal to add variety.
