Light, compact, and reliable in damp conditions, this is a smart choice for summer hut-to-hut hikes.
Ferrino says:
These sleeping bags with extremely reduced size and weight offer excellent heat performance thanks to the “shingle” construction.
Our Verdict
The Ferrino Lightech SM 850 hits a strong balance between weight, packability and warmth. At 732g and compressing down to 14 × 30cm, it’s remarkably compact for a synthetic bag in the +4°C range. The shingle construction distributes insulation evenly, maintaining warmth consistently without cold spots.
The hood adjustment is easily accessible with one hand, and the 2-way zip at the foot allows for easy venting in warmer conditions. For synthetic insulation, the HTF Compact fill performs well in humid or damp environments and dries quickly if it does get wet.
The bag is most at home in mild spring to early autumn weather. Cold sleepers may find the comfort limit optimistic, but for most, it offers a good margin.
