Our Verdict
Helly Hansen's Lifa Merino Midweight Crew is a thicker, warmer top that provides a really good level of warmth so it's ideal for cold conditions. The LIFA technology on the inner makes the garment softer next to the skin than pure merino alternatives. The merino wool provides warmth, moisture management, excellent temperature regulation and odour control.
This top is still pleasingly lightweight and low bulk, making it ideal for use under an insulating mid-layer or straight under a shell depending on the conditions. Easy to pack and use as an extra layer for night times too.
