We think that Haglof's L.I.M Strive jacket is best pulled on over a baselayer when the temperature drops but anything else would cause over-heating because you are either running or fast hiking over challenging terrain.
Haglofs says:
Go ahead and give it your all. This extremely lightweight, breathable, and fast drying top is built to keep up. It’s made out of 100% recycled polyester with a super lightweight construction that feels soft and smooth against your skin. Wear it alone or as a strategic mid layer. It comes with a zippered chest pocket where you can securely stash essentials and reflective trims for safety.
Our Verdict
Haglofs L.I.M Strive Mid Jacket is an ultra lightweight jacket that can be pulled on over a baselayer or used as a baselayer itself. It has half elasticated cuffs and a loose hem, but being made from stretchy material it will grip round the hem anyway. In particular it has a high neck made from two ply material that will act as a buff or can be left open.
We think this garment is best used if pulled on over a baselayer when temperatures drop and you need that bit extra insulation but most jackets would be too warm because you are running or hiking uphill.
Reflective shoulders confirm it as a late evening running piece as well.
