This is the hipbelt for the latest version of Gossamer Gear's Mariposa and Gorilla packs. Available in small or large sizes in case the medium size supplied does not fit, they feature updated, larger zip pockets.

This is the hipbelt used on the latest version of our Mariposa and Gorilla packs. Available in 3 sizes (the Mariposa and Gorilla packs are supplied with a medium hipbelt), they feature our updated and larger integrated zippered pockets. The aluminum stay can now connect from the pack into this belt, making weight transfer more comfortable. The belt can be used with any 2012 and newer Robic or Dyneema fabric packs without any modification. This belt will not fit 2011 and older silnylon Gorilla and Mariposa model packs.
Our Verdict
Gossamer Gear's Hipbelt with Pockets is designed for anyone needing a smaller or larger version of the standard sized hipbelt provided with the Mariposa and Gorilla packs. With updated foam and fabric combined with larger, more practical pockets this is a great way of finding a more personal fit.
It is important to note that these belts can be used with any 2012 and newer Robic or Dyneema fabric packs without any modification. They will not fit 2011 and older silnylon Gorilla and Mariposa model packs.
