Exped's Flash Pack Pocket clips easily on and off their Lightning Packs and allows you some external storage for a wet flysheet or wet waterproofs.
Exped says: Ultralight Lightning outer pocket.
Our Verdict
We were always critical about the volume decreasing straps on Exped's Lightning rucksacks because they seem in effective and we much prefer a large outer mesh stuff pocket for a wet flysheet or the like. Exped have come up with the Flash Pack Pocket, which seems to solve this problem.
Now you have the choice over whether you want this feature on a particular trip or not. The Flash Pocket is a brilliant addition that's easy to fit and easy to use, so long as there's plenty inside the pack to give it some structure.
