Our Verdict
The Robens Fire Bug Stove Titanium is a lightweight, compact gas stove with a large burner and high-strength gas hose. I recommend remote canister stoves if you enjoy cooking while camping and not just boiling water for a dehydrated meal. The broad base and low centre of gravity make them more stable for larger pans and dishes that may require more attention. They are also safer because you control the gas from the canister, not the burner. Not only are they better on uneven ground, but if a pot boils over, you can extinguish the flame without risking burning or scalding yourself. Additionally, since the FireBug Stove is made of titanium, you aren’t carrying much more weight.
