Our Verdict
The ever popular Pocket Rocket gets a lightweight makeover. MSR have combined everything that was great about the Micro Rocket stove and everything that was great about the Pocket Rocket into one stove. It's a simple stove that is practically bomb-proof, so you won't have any issues with it.
The Pocket Rocket 2 has been made lighter due to the redesigned pot supports. These still provide a wide surface for bigger pans and they still feature those serrated edges that keep your pot in place. The cross section over the burner head provides some extra protection against the wind, this will stop a sudden gust from blowing the flame out completely and it works well.
The Pocket Rocket 2 is an ideal stove for quick water boiling, in a lightweight and affordable package.
