This is the most popular backpack in our pack's range. Chosen by hundreds of hikers and tested by thousands of kilometres of travels. This backpack is a reliable friend on long distance hikes.
The unique design has simple roll top construction which can be fast loading and easy adjustment of the volume. The shape of the backpack body has the form of a trapezoid - this is for more convenient loading of the gear into the backpack. There are a lot of additional pockets for quick access, convenient placement and easy packing of gear in it. The backpack helps to improve your speed, efficiency, increase hiking distance on the trail. Ideally for those who want to save every gram in their gear.
Built from Ultra™ 200, the woven fabric is 67% UHMWPE and 33% Repreve recycled polyester. The proprietary Challenge RUV recycled film backing is 100% recycled and 97% UV Resistant. Every yard of Ultra™ 200 saves over one pound of CO2, compared to Nylon pack fabric.
Our Verdict
The Liteway Elementum Pack Ultra 50L weighs 657g (Medium) and offers a clean, trapezoid-shaped design that makes loading straightforward. The roll-top closure handles volume changes well, and the pack rides securely when loaded within its intended 12kg capacity. Shoulder and hip straps are cut for comfort under moderate weight, and the load lifters allow quick on-the-fly adjustment.
Storage is thoughtfully arranged. The combination of side, front, harness and hip belt pockets allows efficient gear access without disrupting your main load. The Ultra 200 fabric is tough, abrasion-resistant, and sheds light rain effectively. However, the seams are not sealed, so while the fabric itself is waterproof, the pack is not. A liner or dry bags are advisable in sustained wet weather.
Breathability is minimal due to the frameless construction and lack of mesh, so packing technique plays a key role in comfort. The structure remains stable with a rolled foam pad or similar support.
