Our Verdict
Main fabric of the vest is made from a super breathable air mesh back panel, which does a fantastic job of keeping you cool when working hard, it is also incredibly comfortable, softening the loads against your back. The mesh foam wraps right around into the hip belt, so you get a nice comfortable fit all around.
The pack is cinched across your body with two elasticated sternum straps, which can easily be adjusted to fit your body type and either side of the strap can be quickly undone which is a nice touch I never knew I wanted in a running vest.
This is the 1.5L version of the pack, though a 15L, 6L and 0.5L are also available. As well as the zipped storage compartment, a mesh pocket located on the rear of the pack easily swallows gear. I used mine to store my wet waterproofs when not in use. The vest also has two open stretch mesh side panel pockets, which are more akin to a traditional rucksack, and can be easily accessed when the pack is on.
The front harness has multiple stretch pockets, as well as 2 zipped pockets for additional security. A small whistle has also conveniently been placed in a top mesh pocket, which is a requirement for most kit lists.
Bungees are located at the top of the pack which can be used to secure trekking poles. Personally, I find z-poles to work best with this pack, as they fit much neater.
