We are taking our next step with our ECO lineup headlined by use of Regen Robic, recycled high-tenacity nylon fabrics, webbings, and foams in our suspension system. They are Global Recycle Standard certified. The polypropylene frame sheet also has an environmental approach by being made utilizing scrap plastic that would have ended up in landfills. The first items to utilize these ECO materials in the line will be the newest additions to Granite Gear's flagship collection: the Crown3 series and a new item, the Lumbar Pack Lid.

The Granite Gear Deluxe Add-On Eco Lid is a thoughtful upgrade for hikers and backpackers looking to optimise their set-up. This lid offers an impressive increase in capacity and versatility without adding significant weight. The standard lid on the Crown3 60 S.I. Eco Rucksack weighs 109 grams, while the Deluxe Add-On Eco Lid weighs 211 grams and adds 5 litres of additional storage space.
The Eco Lid is made from Regen Robic® recycled high-tenacity nylon, which gives it both durability and a lighter environmental footprint. The DWR (durable water repellent) treatment ensures your gear stays dry in unpredictable weather.
The Lid works with the Virga3, Crown3, and Blaze series packs. The recycled webbing straps make attachment easy and secure. The clam-shell opening of the main compartment is practical, providing quick access to your gear. The secondary stash pocket is perfect for keeping smaller items within reach.
The option to use Eco Lid as a lumbar pack is a nice touch and lets you go light on quick summit trips when you do not need your entire bag. The hook-and-loop anchor point keeps the lid securely in place when worn on your waist, so there's no worry about it slipping or shifting.
