Our Verdict
Mountain Equipment's Compressor Pants are light enough to sit in your pack until you really need the extra boost of warmth that they will supply. Fully opening leg zips obviously mean you can get these pants on over just about any layer without any problems.
The Insulation Type that is used has a woven or mat construction which gives the pants are fairly low profile for an insulated garment. They provide instant warmth and a good amount of it for their weight.
