Our Verdict
When we first saw these poles we were shocked at just how light they really are. In terms of design they're pretty simple. The poles are a fixed length so you can't adjust the length to suit the terrain and the handles are constructed from a basic mesh airflow grip. Not as soft as you might like but they do the job. The fabric handles are light and thin but again comfortable enough.
To lock the poles into place you need to slot all the sections together, then pull the thin cord out the top until you see the small knot which you then hook through the grooves on the top of the handle. A little bit of a faff but it works.
With poles like this you have to remember that reduced weight comes at a cost. These ultra light poles won't be as tough as your average pole but that's a sacrifice you need to make if you want an ultra lightweight pole with a small pack size. These types of poles are better suited to keeping you balanced and pushing you back on track, rather than being completely weight baring.
