MSR is proud to offer the lightest full-strength tent stake on the market – less than 6 grams per stake. The Carbon-Core tent stake uses a carbon fiber core for strength and rigidity, and an aluminum covering for durability. Sold individually and as a kit of four tent stakes.
Our Verdict
Came across this type of peg as supplied with the Easton tents - they have width which means more grip than simple wire pegs. I also noted a marked reluctance to bend - and I was camping on rocky ground - at only 6g these are an excellent choice for most applications. Shown with a cord (by MSR), they don't come with the cord.
Need to be wary of bashing them with a stone though - the plastic top gets gouged.
