Our Verdict
The Capilene Air Bottoms are from Patagonia's most advanced baselayer range. Constructed from a blend of merino wool and recycled polyester, you're basically getting the best qualities of wool and synthetic in just one baselayer. They look like a thick sweat pants with it's 3-D knit structure, but it doesn't feel that thick with the open weave.
The material feels light and soft on your skin and stretches with you as you move. It offers amazing warmth and comfort, even insulating when wet and will resist odours for multiple use. The ankle and waist hems are soft and stretchy elastic knit so they all feel really comfortable.
