Our Verdict
The Bug Free Cruiser Net Hat is another great example of Sunday Afternoons committed approach to designing headgear that protect the wearer from the Sun and they achieve this in spades. The protection they offer is invaluable and this version of the Cruiser adds insect protection to the list too. The bug net can be rolled up and stored in the crown of the hat when it's not needed which is a great idea. When you need to get away from the bugs just drop the net and you have a spacious, breathable area to enjoy under the wide brim.
The Cruiser hat has a very wide brim which takes care of the sun protection its well-constructed but the brim is wired which means its not crushable, so you have to be careful how you store it. In the crown there's an absorbent mesh band and a vent around the top edge. There's also some size adjustment by virtue of a shockcord around the back edge.
