Built to shield your pack from baggage handlers and bad weather, the latest Osprey AirCover is an innovative, multi-use solution for travel and trail.
Osprey says:
For folks planning to travel with their hiking, backpacking or trekking pack, the AirCover does double duty as a durable cover with a zip-back closure to fully encase and protect your pack on the bus, train or plane and doubles as a raincover when you hit the trail. Comes in two sizes to fit most packs. Medium fits packs 40-60 litres in volume. Large fits packs 60-75 litres in volume.

Our Verdict
The Medium size (367g) fits neatly over a 50L pack and is a solid option for those needing to check their bag or protect it in rough transport conditions. The new 40D recycled fabric feels lighter than older versions but is still tough enough to trust. The full-length zip makes it quick to enclose the pack, and the drawcord gives a secure fit when used as a rain cover. It packs into itself cleanly, and the side grab handle is useful when your harness is stashed. I’d consider it a good pick for anyone travelling with their gear.
