The OMM Rotor Insulated Pants uses Primaloft insulation throughout the pants for incredibly warm after training over trouser.
OMM says:
Lightweight insulated Primaloft Active pants, design to work with the Rotor Hood. The legs can be zipped together, connected to the jacket and foot-pod to create a uniquely lightweight sleep-system.
Our Verdict
This is an incredibly warm over trousers that you will primarily use after you have been active. They are ideal to put on after a cold day in the hills, after a trail run or mountain marathon.
The entire inseam can be unzipped, like a pair of chaps; this means they are very quick to put on and can also be zipped into a skirt. The roto jacket and footpod can also be incorporated into this setup to make a lightweight sleep system.
They have one pocket that doubles as a stuff sack, it has a small Velcro fastening, and it’s not somewhere I would stash any valuables; this doesn’t detract from the pants, as, as I say, you will not be doing any exercise in these.
They would work well as town pants/ something to wear around camp if you are thru-hiking or in freezing weather and a layer to sleep in.
