For a versatile and super comfortable fleece the Protium is well designed. The Thermo Grid fleece does a great job of regulating heat in changeable conditions. Designed to be worn for any activity as a mid- or outer-layer this fleece does it all.

Our Verdict
Montane's Protium Sweater combines comfort, performance, and value really well. The use of Thermo Grid fleece means that it's heavy enough to keep you warm but also not overbearing.
It is also really good at wicking moisture and dries pretty quickly too so it works really well for a range of outdoor activities. Its not as versatile as some of the other products in the Protium range, as it has no option to vent any heat, but for a more casual hike or around camp, this is a really nice comfortable top, that’s also great value.
