The PrimeTech Stove Set 1.3L has a greater capacity designed for 1-3 people. It performs well in a range of conditions on longer trips. This is a well built stove which has been made much more fuel efficient whilst still providing a consistent cooking performance.

The PrimeTech Stove Set is the ultimate solution for performance-oriented trekkers. Thanks to an effective windscreen and a pot with integrated heat exchanger fuel consumption is cut in half compared to a conventional stove. A regulated valve gives a consistent power output and improves performance when when the gas canister is low on fuel or cold. For added safety the patented burner also features a design that prevents accidental flare-ups in the event should the canister fall over.
Since the burner is integrated in the windscreen setting up the stove is literally as easy as 1-2-3. Take out the windscreen from the pot, connect the gas canister and light it up! During transport all parts packs up neatly in the pot making it a compact, rattle free unit. The second included pot is made of hard anodized aluminum and has a traditional design without heat exchanger.
Our Verdict
The Primus' PrimeTech Stove Set 2.3L is a 1-3 person gas stove, with a heat exchanger pot, normal saucepan and a windshield, designed for maximum fuel efficiency. The windscreen has a low centre of gravity for greater stability and a piezo igniter so you dont need to mess around with matches. The whole stove nests perfectly and can be stored in the padded storage bag.
The PrimeTech heat exchanger works by maximising the surface area to give a more efficient heat transfer from the burner. The burner has been optimized for use with the pot to give the PrimeTech Stove incredible performance, which not only minimises gas consumption but also boil times.
The heat exchanger pot has a ceramic, non-stick coating to accompany the basic anodised aluminium saucepan. The heat resistant, spring lock tongs provide a safe and secure way of moving full pots while the see through lid enables you to keep an eye on progress without having to loose heat lifting the lid during cooking. Once food is cooked the lid has an integrated strainer to stop you seeing that precious rice or pasta being lost.
