Our Verdict
At 73g, this is one of the lightest brimmed hats I’ve used that l provides decent coverage. The 3-inch brim is slightly longer at the back, adding extra neck protection without feeling floppy or getting in the way. It’s well-ventilated, with discreet side perforations that help manage heat during. The fabric is soft and quick-drying, and holds its shape nicely even after being crammed into a pack.
While there’s no chin cord, a discreet adjustment at the crown, combined with the stretchy fabric, keeps the hat securely in place. It holds well during movement, though on blustery ridgelines I’d consider adding a bit of cord for extra peace of mind.
