These sleeping bags with extremely reduced size and weight offer excellent heat performance. Perfect for those whose activities require compact storage sizes.
Our Verdict
Ferrino’s Lightec 550 is designed with minimal bulk and maximum packability in mind. At just 466g, it’s impressively light for a synthetic bag, and the packed size (roughly 12 × 20cm) makes it a strong option for summer trips. The tapered mummy shape, complete with a snug hood and full-length baffle, provides a decent seal against cooler evening breezes; however, this is primarily a warm-weather bag.
With a comfort rating around 20°C, it’s best suited to sleeping indoors or in reliably hot climates. For typical UK camping, it would need to be a particularly mild spell, bordering on a heatwave. The synthetic fill handles moisture well, and the soft polyester lining adds a bit of comfort. A two-way zip allows for venting at the foot, and the one-touch hood adjustment is genuinely convenient.
