The Kunai is a solid tent capable of providing shelter year round. Despite the strong design, a mix of lightweight fabrics keep the weight down for backpackers while good ventilation allows year-round use.

Our Verdict
Nemo's Kunai 2P Tent is designed with a strong pole setup and shape that allows it to shed the wind and rain. It uses a range of lighter weight fabric to keep the overall weight down without sacrificing durability. It has really good ventilation to reduce the risk of the dreaded condensation and a bathtub floor to keep out moisture so it's well suited to changeable UK conditions. Although it is classed as a 3-4 season tent you would be able to use it in calm winter conditions. There are a few features that mean it would not stand up to the full winter conditions you'd experience in the Scottish Highlands but it would be fine for lowland conditions in England.
The Kunai has a good sized vestibule for this type of design so there's enough space for warm winter kit is you're taking it out in decent conditions. It has a good selection of storage pockets with some specifically designed for lights so you get a nice ambient light from the fabric. A nice little feature is the 'Divvy Sack', a set of two smaller storage packs that allows you to split the load equally if you're going with a partner.
