The Ducan 30 impresses above all with its light weight. The side pockets are positioned within easy reach even when carrying the backpack, true to the principle of “access on the go”. There is also a mesh pocket on the shoulder strap. Our Verdict
Mammut's Ducan 30 Rucksack looks simple and fairly minimalist at first glance. Despite the clean looks, there are plenty of features including a number of easy to access pockets, a lid with two zip pockets and hydration compatible sleeve. The main benefits of the pack are the levels of adjustibility with the shoulder and hip belts allowing the best possible fit. The frame allows the pack space for air to flow and good ventilation when you might start to heat up.
There are a number of handy pockets on the pack with two small stretch mesh pockets on the shoulder straps, a secure zip pocket on the hip belt and two mid sized stretch mesh pockets on the sides of the pack that are angled forward for easier access. The Velcro for the trekking pole holders can be removed when not in use, keeping the clean looks of the pack.
