Beef and Potato Hotpot.
Preparation: REMOVE THE OXYGEN ABSORBER* (Sachet) from inside the pouch. Slowly add up to 200ml hot water, stirring as you pour and then close the bag. Wait 5-8 minutes for the food to rehydrate.
Cold water will suffice, however the re-hydration time is much longer.
* The oxygen absorber helps maintain product freshness and is non toxic. DO NOT EAT.

|6.5/10||STAFF'S TASTE TEST - Calorie count for Expedition Foods is around the 450mark, just below most others which are typically 550-600calories. If you don’t normally have a starter try a cup-a-soup with crackers to boost the meal. I added 260ml boiling water and resealed the bag – left it wrapped in a down jacket for the full time specified. First mouthful was a bit bland so added salt to taste. Much better. All had rehydrated, there was only slight meaty taste to it – veg was dominated by swede, would have preferred more onion – which you could add as a fresh ingredient, with that it might be a 7.5, but as it is I only give it 6.5/10.|
