Our Verdict
The Thermonet Beanie is a fantastic, low-weight, low-profile hat for winter use. Buff and PrimaLoft have developed a new material they claim is four times warmer than “a regular” microfiber. It is an incredibly fine weave that helps keep out wind chill. It does a fantastic job of moving moisture away from the skin whilst keeping you warm. If you are working hard in cold conditions, this is an excellent laying piece that packs down so small and weight so tiny it can live in your day pack all year until it's needed.
